Diaper Cake for a Baby Shower Gifts
This is a great gift and decoration. The Mom to be and guests will love it.
Supplies:
1 box disposable diapers (you’ll use approximately 50)
1 large platter on which to build the cake. 16″ is about the right size.
Approximately 10 feet each of 1/2-in. and 1-1/2-in. wide ribbon for finishing the tiers
1 roll wide adhesive tape
Optional Décor: Flowers (real or silk) stuffed toys, assorted baby necessities such as pacifiers, teething rings, combs, brushes, rattles, bibs, etc.
A creative twist on the traditional diaper cake, this is a very attractive centerpiece for the gift table or dining room table at a baby shower.
Directions:
1. Roll 1 diaper very tightly, like a newspaper, and secure with a rubber band. Wrap the second diaper around the core, and then add the next diaper, overlapping the end of the first diaper in a circular pattern. Continue overlapping diapers like petals until you have used about 30 diapers for the first tier of the cake (a second pair of hands is very useful).
2. Secure this near the top and the bottom of the layer with a band of tape. Cover each band of tape with your 2 sizes of decorative ribbon.
3. Repeat this for the next 2 layers, decreasing the number of diapers to create smaller layers. The second tier will require about 15 diapers and the top about 7.
4. Complete the cake by stacking the layers. You may wish to decorate the top with flowers or a basket or box filled with an assortment of baby necessities such as pacifiers, teething rings, combs, brushes, rattles, etc.

It sounds like you’re creating problems yourself by trying to solve this issue instead of looking at why their is a problem in the first place
