Here are top 10 different ways to save money! If you do these regularly and keep doing them you could save thousands of dollars over the next year. Every little penny helps!

1. Cooking at home – If you and your partner work full time this can be challenging…..especially if you also have children. Start out small with once a week and increase to 6-7 days a week. Maybe you take 1 day a week to go out to dinner. It would be something you can look forward to as a couple or a family. The money savings could be up to $280 a week or more.

2. Coffee – Make your own. This can be a good money savings tip. Most people don’t realize how much that $6 cup of coffee can affect your pocket book. You are looking at a $42 or more savings a week.

3. Lunch – Pack a lunch. Brown bagging a lunch a couple days a week could at up to $40 a week in money savings. You could also plan to each out a couple days a week with co-workers which would limit the money savings but may be good for your career.

4. Grocery Shopping – Make a list and stick to that list. The number 1 reason people overspend at the store is impulse shipping. It is also wise to create a list so you do not forget anything which would avoid another trip to the store. You also do not want to go shipping while you are in a hurry or hungry. It tends to promote more impulse purchasing which would limit your money savings. Buy in bulk and buy generic when ever possible will also help you bottom line money savings. 5. Electricity Use – Regulate your electric use. When items are not in use unplug them. Unplug electric appliances, unplugging the TV can save a lot of electricity. 8. Phone – These days cell phones are cheaper than land lines. If possible disconnect your land line. That could be up to a $100 dollar savings.

9. Vacations – Plan vacations ahead of time. Vacation is a great way to release from your everyday stresses which in our busy lives is very much needed. However if you do not plan them it can become very expensive. For the best savings plan travel at least 2 week in advance especially for air travel.

10. Bottle Water – Drinking water is great for your health. However those bottles waters can become expensive. So fill the water bottle with tap water and invest in a filter. That will save a lot of money in the long run.
